Where Can You Find Cute, Stylish Hanukkah Pajamas for the Whole Family? | Dream in Style
Growing up, Christmas was always such a magical time in our house. The decorations, the excitement, the family traditions — I loved every bit of it. But one of my favorite traditions was something so simple: matching family pajamas.
There was just something about everyone being cozy in their matching PJs that made the holidays feel extra special. It wasn’t really about the pajamas themselves. It was about the memories we made wearing them.
Fast-forward a few years. I married my husband, who is Jewish, and together we’ve chosen to raise our two girls Jewish. Our family celebrates Jewish holidays, and Hanukkah has become such a special, magical time in our home.
And while our holidays look different from the ones I grew up celebrating, one thing I knew for certain was that I wanted to bring some of those same feelings of excitement, togetherness, and tradition into my girls’ childhoods.
Including the matching pajamas.
The Search for Cute Hanukkah Pajamas (Spoiler: It Wasn’t Easy)
When I first started shopping for Hanukkah pajamas for my girls, I was honestly a little horrified by the options.
Dreidels. Menorahs. Giant Stars of David. Gelt. Bright blue everything.
Don’t get me wrong — I love the symbols of Hanukkah and everything they represent. But did every pair of Hanukkah pajamas have to scream HANUKKAH?!
I wanted something cute. Something stylish. Something that felt like us.
I wanted beautiful blues, timeless patterns, and pajamas that looked like something I would actually choose for my girls to wear. Not something I was buying simply because it happened to have a dreidel on it.
And as someone who has spent years working in interior design, I couldn’t help thinking: Why can’t holiday pajamas feel as thoughtfully designed as the rest of our home?
That’s when the wheels started turning.
From a Family Tradition to Shae & Palmer
The idea behind Shae & Palmer didn’t happen overnight, but that experience was one of the little sparks that got me thinking about what was missing.
I wanted to create pajamas that were incredibly soft, beautifully designed, and a little different from everything else out there.
Prints inspired by the colors, patterns, and details I love in interior design. Pajamas that feel special enough for holiday mornings but comfortable enough for an ordinary Tuesday.
And most importantly, pajamas that both my girls and I would love.
Because here’s the thing about holiday pajamas: Why should something we love only get worn for a few weeks out of the year?
If my girls are still reaching for their favorite holiday PJs in March, May, or the middle of summer, I don’t want to feel like I need to put them away because the holiday is over.
I want them to wear them. Love them. Make memories in them.
That’s what Shae & Palmer is all about.
Hanukkah-Inspired, Not Hanukkah-Only
When designing our new holiday collection, I kept coming back to the same idea that started it all.
I wanted pajamas that would feel beautiful for Hanukkah without being only for Hanukkah.
Our Midnight Dot print, with its gorgeous navy blue polka dots, feels festive, classic, and playful all at once.
Our Midnight Plaid is another favorite. Beautiful shades of blue in a timeless plaid that feels cozy, elevated, and perfect for the holiday season.
Neither print needs a giant dreidel or menorah to feel right for our Hanukkah celebrations.
And that’s exactly what I love about them.
They’re pajamas my girls can wear while we light the menorah, open presents, and celebrate eight nights together. But they’re also pajamas they can wear for movie nights, sleepovers, lazy Sunday mornings, and yes, even in May.
No holiday expiration date required.
Different Holidays, the Same Magic
It’s funny how traditions evolve as we grow up and start families of our own.
My childhood was filled with Christmas mornings and matching pajamas. My girls’ childhood is filled with Hanukkah nights, lighting the menorah, and creating our own little traditions.
The holidays may be different, but the feeling I want to give them is exactly the same.
That excitement. That warmth. Those little moments they’ll hopefully remember when they’re older.
And maybe one day, when they have families of their own, they’ll carry on the tradition of matching pajamas too.
Because at the end of the day, it’s never really been about Christmas pajamas or Hanukkah pajamas. It’s about family, traditions, and the memories we make together.
And if those memories happen to be made in ridiculously soft, adorable matching pajamas? Even better.
With love,
